YARD SALE - BENEFITING CIRCLE OF LOVE

We're gathering items for this upcoming event and need your help, We're accepting donations of all items except clothes to help support our cause.

MENS CLUB FUND RAISER

Historically our Walker Men's Club held various fund raisers (cooking's) to raise funds to support their work in the community and here at Walker UMC. While their ability over the past few years has made that difficult to continue, their hearts have not changed. They remain dedicated to supporting a host of ministries here in our community and beyond. This work is above and beyond what our Missions Committee already does at Walker. So, for the last couple of years our men have relied on the men of our church making a financial contribution to the Men's Club rather than hosting a fund raiser. Last year our Men's Club donated a total of $8,000 to various ministries. Men if you have not yet made your contribution this year now is the time to do that. Anyone else who has supported our Men's Club in the past may do so by placing that in the offering plate any Sunday by October 1st. They will tally all funds received and be making contributions to these vital organizations and ministries following October 1 (make checks to Walker UMC an put Men's Club on the memo line). Thank you all for your faithful love and support of our men who remain in ministry with our church and community!
